DPC basics

What is direct primary care?

You pay your doctor a flat monthly membership instead of going through insurance for primary care. That one change removes the incentives that create 15-minute visits and 3-week waits. Our doctors keep a small patient panel, so visits are long and access is direct. DPC is a recognized model under the Affordable Care Act — thousands of practices across the country run this way.

Is this insurance?

No. Membership covers primary care — the medicine you use most. It does not cover hospitalizations, surgeries, ER visits, or specialists.

Do I still need insurance?

Yes, and we'll say it plainly: keep coverage for the big stuff. Most members pair the membership with a high-deductible, catastrophic, or employer plan. Membership handles day-to-day care; insurance handles disasters.

Is DPC right for me?

Honestly — not for everyone. If you never see a doctor and never text one, you may not use what you pay for. Take the 60-second quiz on this site and see what your numbers look like. Take the quiz →

Membership

What does it cost?

Kids (birth–18) $60/mo or $720/yr. Adults 18–55 $120/mo or $1,400/yr. Adults 55+ $150/mo or $1,800/yr. That's the entire price list — no copays, no visit fees.

What's included?

Unlimited visits (90 minutes for your first, 60 after), same-day/next-day sick appointments, annual wellness visits, chronic disease management, personalized treatment plans, telehealth, and direct access to your physician by call, text, or email.

How do I join?

Start with a free meet-and-greet — text or call (501) 361-3249. See the clinic, meet Dr. McCormack or Dr. Guthrey, ask anything. If it fits, you enroll and book your first visit.

Care & access

Can I really text my doctor?

Yes. Members reach Dr. McCormack or Dr. Guthrey directly — phone, text, or email — during normal hours, and after hours for emergencies. Not a nurse line. Not a portal that answers in three business days.

Do you see children?

All ages, including newborns. Both doctors are board-certified pediatricians and internists, so the whole family sees the same practice.

What about labs, imaging, and prescriptions?

We offer discounted cash prices on labs and imaging — and if you'd rather run them through your insurance, we can still do that. See the price list on the pricing page. See prices →

What if I need a specialist or hospital care?

We refer you, share your records, and coordinate the care. That's part of the job — you're not handed a fax number and wished luck.

Do you do telehealth?

Yes. Sick, traveling, or can't leave work — we handle what we can remotely and tell you honestly when you need to come in.
