How it works — 30 seconds

  1. You pay us directly.

A flat monthly membership instead of copays, claims, and surprise statements. We work for you, not an insurance company.

  2. We keep the practice small on purpose.

New-patient visits run 90 minutes. Follow-ups run 60. You're seen at your appointment time — same day or next day when you're sick.

  3. You reach your doctor, not a phone tree.

Call, text, or email Dr. McCormack or Dr. Guthrey during the day, and after hours for emergencies. Can't come in? We do telehealth too.

What would your family pay?

Two adults and two kids is $360 a month — less than most families spend on phones and streaming, for a doctor who answers texts. Run your own numbers:

The doctors

Dr. Preston McCormack in the Perspective Health clinic

Dr. Preston McCormack

Opened Perspective Health in 2022 after leaving a UAMS professorship — he wanted appointments long enough to actually know his patients. He's still the pediatrician at the Our House shelter clinic.

Dr. Caleb Guthrey

Dr. Caleb Guthrey

Taught at UAMS and helped start its first Med-Peds clinic before joining Preston in 2024. He still teaches, and still serves at the Our House clinic too.

Both are board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics — one clinic for your newborn and your grandmother.

Straight answers

This isn't insurance.
Keep coverage for hospital stays and the big stuff. Membership covers your primary care — usually the part insurance does worst.
Visits are 60–90 minutes.
Not a typo.
Sick today, seen today.
Same-day and next-day appointments are the norm, not the exception.
Labs at cost-adjacent prices.
We offer discounted labs and imaging, and can still bill your insurance for those if you'd rather.
